Meet Marc Weitz the co-founder of Teapet!

What made you start Teapet?

We were relaxing with a small group of friends drinking tea and our dogs were around us but they seemed so left out! We couldn’t help but think “why can’t our dogs enjoy something other than water for a change?”.  We knew that herbal teas have a lot of health benefits associated with them so we set out to create blends made just for dogs that would be both healthy and delicious.

Herbal tea has always had a special place in our hearts and having studied herbs for many years, I also knew how beneficial they were for animals. So we set out to create special herbal blends made just for our companions and to introduce a whimsical tea culture to pets and those who love them. And thus, Teapet was born!

What makes your products special and unique?

Making herbal teas for dogs and cats is unique in itself. But to take it further, all of our teas are carefully crafted and sourced and we work with some of the oldest and most respected herbal tea makers in the USA to create our special blends.

While there are now a few other teas made for pets on the market, we are the only company that incorporates interesting flavours, such as Blueberry, Beef and Maple, Roast Chicken, Sweet Potato and Coconut, into our products. We are also the only company who serves teas in individually sealed bags so that the tea stays fresher for longer, and can be taken with you anywhere!

Lastly, we also give our customers lots of suggestions on different ways to serve tea, including traditional, au lait, iced and many more which you can check out on our webpage:

What charities do you support?

We support a number of revolving charities of all sizes. We support animal shelter and rescue foundations and many other charities helping animals as they are all close to our hearts. We are also supportive of a number of ‘human’ charities that focus on education, health and the arts.

Where to from here?

We are really just at the beginning of our journey! I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us!
